About Chevrons Netball Club...

Chevrons is a successful Silver Caps accredited netball Club in East Yorkshire.

Membership is open to Children and Adults, young and old, any race, colour, or faith. We are based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, and train over a number of nights.

Chevrons is a performance club, we train and play to not only win games, but also to ensure each of our players maxamise their athletic capabilities. Our coaches have played and coached both Nationally and Regionally, having won many titles in their capacities.

If you are interested in joining our club, or would like more information, please contact us here.

Past & Present...

Chevrons Netball Club has been running for over 40 years, it was established in 1973 by Val Scott, in the last 8 years we have increased our number of participants from 20 to over 200, we cover all ages groups from 7 years of age to over 50!

In 2008 Debbie Brettell and Jo Cunningham took over the running of the club, and in this time Chevrons gained its Silver CAPS Award and ERCAS Level 1 Award. CAPS_Ball_Silver_1000px.jpg

The club has competed in the Humberside Junior League for 7 years and won in every age group, u9, u11, u12, u14 and u16. We have also represented East Yorkshire for the last 7 years and we have gone on to become Yorkshire Champions on many occasions. We are the only East Yorkshire club to have represented Yorkshire in the National Competition, as well as finishing in the top 5 teams in England! In 2012 Chevrons First Team won the Regional League and have now progressed to the English Northern League.

We are very proud of our achievements as a club, our talented athletes, and our excellent team of coaching staff. We began with only 6 coaches and since 2004 we have developed enormously, now boasting 10 trainee coaches, 9 UKCC Level 1 Coaches, and 9 UKCC Level 2 Coaches. We also have a number of in-house qualified officials, including over 25 Basic Umpires, 10 C-Award umpires and 2 B-Award umpires.

The Future...

Chevrons Netball Club has progressed a substantial amount over the last few years. The development of the committee (which can be viewed here) and parents help has improved and become invaluable.

In the past year the running of the club has improved hugely, including this brilliant new website, electronic registration and online kit shopping/ordering. Coaching has been delegated effectively and Regional/National Coaches allocated accordingly. Coaches and parents relationships have transformed, as it has become even easier to stay in contact and inform parents and players of upcoming events.

The clubs hard work is really starting to pay off; with amazing success in every age group, both Junior and Senior, and the fantastic range of talented athletes and coaches we are producing.

Things can only continue to get better and improve…
